Heather 'Byrd' Roberts is an award-winning poet, strategic creative catalyst, educator, and author of Mahogany: A Love Letter To Black with over 15 years of artistic bridge-building experience. Her work focuses on the intersectionality between form and freedom as she discusses the relationship to Blackness in the USA.


Her business, Byrd's World, is dedicated to inspire and transform lives through creativity. Her work enriches student and educator experiences through storytelling and workshops. She also amplifies aspiring writer's voices so they can get out of their heads, onto the page, so they can confidently reclaim their creative joy. Byrd's work, "HERstory of HIStory and inHERitance: The Stories We Carry" has appeared in several festivals, and her poetry has been published in CAGIBI’s journal, Sixfold, Expressions from Englewood, and more.
